Mount Mary Presents Christmas Concerts

Musical performances kick-off the season

MILWAUKEE (November 18, 2013) - Mount Mary University invites the public to its 2013 Christmas concerts. All of the concerts will be held on campus at 2900 N. Menomonee River Parkway. Ample free parking is available.

The Mount Mary University Women's Chorus Concert will take place on Monday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. in Stiemke Hall, located on the second floor of Notre Dame Hall. The chorus comprised of students, alumnae and individuals from the community will perform sacred and secular songs of the Christmas season both a cappella and accompanied. Mount Mary student Samantha Scaffidi will accompany the chorus on flute for "Before the Paling of the Stars," a choral piece written by Milwaukee composer and pianist Paula Foley Tillen. Sherry Peters will provide piano accompaniment on some of the repertoire for the evening's concert. Admission is free.

The Mount Mary University Gospel Choir will present its Christmas concert, "More than a Holiday," on Friday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. in Our Lady Chapel, located on the second floor of Notre Dame Hall. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased at the door.
