Mount Mary Receives President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction Award

Commitment to community service and service learning honored

MILWAUKEE (February 11, 2015) - Mount Mary University received the 2014 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction award for its exemplary commitment to community service and service learning. The Community Service Honor Roll is the highest form of federal recognition an institution can receive for community involvement and service learning programs. Mount Mary is the only Wisconsin higher education institution to be named to the Honor Roll with Distinction.

The President's Honor Roll, which began in 2006, recognizes the impact of higher education institutions on the communities they serve and the students who carry on this tradition of service. The award is administered by the Corporation for National & Community Service, the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the American Council on Education, Campus Compact, and the Interfaith Youth Core.
