The Mount Mary University community gathered Oct. 3-10 for a series of festive activities designed to celebrate “Homecoming on the Mount.”
Homecoming events include Bingo, a Great Potato Derby, a pig and chicken roast picnic, a scavenger hunt, a homecoming Mass, Alumnae Awards Night, and a special recognition of the class of 1965, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
In addition, members of the Mount Mary community gathered for a day of service to help fight hunger. Approximately 75 Mount Mary volunteers offered their time at two Hunger Task Force sites.
“Homecoming on the Mount is a time for Mount Mary community members to come together and celebrate our University's heritage, rooted deeply in the charism of the School Sisters of Notre Dame,” said Sarah Olejniczak, dean for Student Affairs. “Through Mount Mary's Day of Service, students, employees, and alumnae are able to come together to fulfill the vision of women transforming their communities.”
