Catholic Soles for Education Walk
For the fourth year in a row, Mount Mary is hosting the Soles for Catholic Education Walk, an event that brings together over 8,000 people in support of Catholic education.
White canopy tents once again dot Mount Mary University's front lawn as the University prepares to host another significant community event. For the fourth year in a row, on Saturday, Oct. 15, Mount Mary is hosting the Soles for Catholic Education Walk.
Over 8,000 people will be participating in he Soles for Catholic Education walk. This walk brings together Catholic schools and individuals to raise money to make education at Catholic elementary and secondary schools affordable.
This money also allows Catholic elementary and secondary schools to continue to develop strong, well-rounded students with strong and moral qualities who go out and transform the community, both locally and globally.
Along with raising money for Catholic elementary and secondary schools, the walk also collects gently used shoes. For the past few weeks, there has been an ever-growing box of shoes outside of the Marian Art Gallery. All of these shoes will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul locations through southeastern Wisconsin.
