Campus sends prayers of support to our SSND Sisters
Our campus community is filled with sorrow as we mourn the deep loss that COVID-19 has extracted upon the School Sisters of Notre Dame in recent days.
We send our prayers to the SSNDs at Elm Grove and all across the country. A virtual prayer service was held on Friday. Please click here for the recording.
The spirit and mission of the SSNDs touches all of us at Mount Mary and connects us in mind, body and soul. Many of the Sisters were active in teaching and administrative roles at Mount Mary and have left a lasting personal imprint for all of us who have followed in their footsteps.
We grieve alongside our Sisters. We thank them for their pioneering commitment to educating women and the underserved in a way that transforms families and communities. We send our prayers to our departed Sisters and the ones affected by this pandemic and offer gratitude for a ministry that has called our institution into being.
They have made Christ visible to us all. May they rest and rejoice in the presence of Christ.
