Mount Mary Awarded Federal Grant to Fight Violence Against Women
Mount Mary University was just awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice as part of the "Strengthening Culturally Specific Campus' Approaches to Address Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking" (DVDVSAS) program.This $498,878 grant will explore barriers to domestic and dating violence resource access, with a specific focus on meeting the needs of Latinx and Black students. This funding will also offer opportunities for enhancing campus safety and relationships with outside partners. It will take place over the course of three years, and will be hosted by the Center for Women's and Children's Rights within the Mount Mary Institute for the Advancement of Women and Children.
