"I am a National Certified Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. Before moving to Wisconsin in 2005, I was engaged in a group counseling practice that was affiliated with Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio. I have worked with a variety of clients in several modalities (i.e. individual, couples, and families), and have specialized in family therapy with children and adolescents. My work has also included treating clients with eating disorders and working in the area of trauma and disaster response. I conduct professional presentations on topics related to child and adolescent development in the context of family functioning, trauma counseling and intervention, and supervision with practicum and internship students. I provide clinical supervision, pro bono, to LPC-ITs seeking to fulfill their post-master's hours. In 2012/2013 I served as President of the Wisconsin Counseling Association, a state branch of the American Counseling Association, and I remain active in the organization. In 2017 I was appointed to the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, Joint Board for Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling, and Social Work Examining Board and the Licensed Professional Counselor section. I currently serve as the Chair of both boards."
