Mileisis Romero
Center for Women's Leadership                Student Worker

Mileisis Romero is a senior at Mount Mary University majoring in Fashion Design. She is actively involved in clubs and organizations on campus, and has studied abroad twice in her time at MMU. Mileisis attended the Mount Mary University Summer Leadership Academy (SLA) in 2019 and has been a Peer Mentor, Presenter, and SLA Resident Assistant as well as the student worker for the Center for Women's Leadership (CWL) since September 2021. She leads social media efforts for the CWL and supports the CWL's programs through research and administrative work. “I hope everyone has a chance to experience support and receive leadership and development advice like I have from the Center for Women's Leadership because they deserve to meet a community that encourages them to work hard, advocate for themselves and others, and set and achieve goals they lacked confidence for previously. I'm grateful for the opportunity to improve my skills in-office and interpersonally, as well as be involved in programs that educate, inspire, and empower women to be leaders,” says Mileisis.
